The pathologic examination of the specimen is performed by an experienced board-certified  dermatopathologist / anatomic & clinical pathologist who is a Fellow of The American Society of Dermatopathology and the College of American Pathologists. We also specialize in examination of nails for onychomycosis.

Supplies for specimen transport are provided at no charge.

We provide customized preprinted requisitions.

For dermatology clinics utilizing Modernizing Medicine as their electronic health record we can establish an advanced bidirectional interface with our Pathology reporting server. This is dependent on the volume of referrals, and need to be discussed with us before we can implement this service, so please contact us.

All other reports will be sent in pdf format to an email address you specify.

Specimens may be shipped to us using a variety of prepaid methods, which we will discuss and customize for the client. The method depends upon location, volume of cases, and turnaround time requirements, which may utilize prepaid first class mail, FedEx, or courier options.

For Topeka clients, we will pick up your specimens on a daily schedule or as otherwise requested.

We provide Michel’s transport medium and a requisition created specifically for DIF specimens. We currently send these to Beutner Laboratories, which is a superb lab specializing in DIF and indirect IF, with prompt turnaround time.
